Raj Fernando is the chief executive officer and founder of Scotland. Before Scouthead, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Chopper Trading. While in college, he started volunteering at the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago from 1992 to 2001. In 2003, started chopper exchange.
Chopper Trading grew to acquire more than 250 employees. While in leadership, and traded on the ICE, LSE, ICAP-Broketek, Cantor Fitzgerald-espeed, and Eurex. Mr. Fernando contributed to the project under the jurisdiction of the United States Commodity Trading Features Commission (CFTC) to support its endeavor in fostering open, competitive, transparent, and financially sound trading markets. In 2011, he got the opportunity to speak at a featured panelist in the commission. He discussed trading practices in disruption.
In 2013, Mr. Fernando addressed the media and an international audience of stakeholders at the Global Exchange Leader at Rosen belt. This is an exclusive forum for the industry. In 2915, he sold the company to DRW Trading Grout. This is another trading company based in Chicago. In 2016, Raj Fernando founded Internet Startup. He also launched Scouthead. This is an organization designed to enhance professional and corporate growth through advanced and secure systems. He is the chairman and CEO of Scouthead.
Fernando is a supporter of numerous philanthropic efforts in the United States. He is one of the board members of the Chicago Orchestra Symphony. He is also a supporter of the Wounded Warriors, the Clinton Foundation, and the Big Brothers of the Chicago Metropolitan area.
He is also a board member of the American Security Project. He is also a member of the Global Affairs in Chicago. In 2011, he was made a member of the Leadership Committee in Leadership Institution.
Fernando graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Beloit College. He also went to study History in London. He was born to Laura Fernando and CK while in Denmark. He completed a scholarship at the University of New York. He studied Classic Piano studies under Julliard professor. He is the youngest of his three siblings. Natasha and Tanya, his two sisters, moved to the United States before he was two.
