Michael Lacey is a well-known American mathematician. He is also known formally by the name of Michael Thoreau Lacey. He was born in the year 1959 in 29th of September. Lacey joined the Institute of Technology in Georgia in the year 1996 where he served as a mathematics Professor. He is renowned for his academic and mathematical researches and thesis.
Ever since he had joined the Georgia Institute he performed and prepared various thesis’s and was also awarded the Guggenheim award and Simons Foundation Award. His research work is recognized all over the world for his perfection and brilliancy in mathematic profession.
Michael Lacey is also a receiver of PH.D and earned it from the University of Illinois in the year 1987. He is a highly educated and knowledgeable man and has created several thesis and researches. His thesis was mainly focused in the sector of probability and statistics in Banach spaces.
He solved various problems that were linked with the iterated logarithm and empirical functions and characteristics. He has worked with intricate parts of mathematics and done his researches on ergodic theory, harmonic analysis and probability. He held his first post-doctoral position from 1989 in the University of Indiana and held the position there till 1996. He was honored by many awards. He earned the fellowship known by National Science Foundation which was post-doctoral while he was in Indiana.
He learned the depth of Bilinear Hilbert Transform while in his fellowship year. The transform was a subject that Michael Lacey studied on with Alberto Calderon and Christoph Thiele and together they solved the theory in the year 1996.
